Dancing in St. George

Shalee is in competition dance this year and it sure keeps us busy. We had the Dixie Jam Competion over the weekend of April 10th. Our family went down with another family from Herriman that we are good friends with and they have a daughter that dances also. We stayed in their condo and the kids had a ball. We spent most of Saturday at the competition but then the kids spent the rest of the time in the pool. It was a nice get away.

Cruise!! ;)

Mike and I went on our first cruise the end of January. We went on a 4 day trip to he Bahamas. We went with 6 other couples. We knew a couple of them before we left but made some great friends while we were there. We had so much fun. We can't wait to go again!

Christmas!

We spent Christmas at our house like we usually do. Grandma and Grandpa Jensen came down for the day which is always nice to visit. We just lounged and enjoyed the day with family.

Well it's been along time since I have blogged so I am going to catch up!

It's been a long hard year. My mother lost her horrible battle with ALS and passed away on October 17. We had planned a benefit dinner in her honor on that day and once her entire family was in town and the dinner was about to begin she decided it was her time to go. She waited for everyone to be there. It was the hardest thing ever to watch her suffer so much the last 2 years. I know she is in such a better place but wow I sure do miss her madly!!!

Broken....

Well we got our first broken bone! Shalee fell off of my friends horse on Sept. 18th and broke her arm. We were in Ogden at the time and took her to the ER up there. I was so proud of Shalee, she never shed one tear the entire time. She was so brave!! They had to start an IV and give her some pain meds so they could get the x-rays and then so they could make her very sleepy to set it and make it straight again. She had to wear a splint for a week and a half and then we were able to get the cast, which goes all the way up to her armpit. She picked the multi-colored cast so it would match more of her clothes. I guess she is a little bit of a girly girl :) She will have to wear the cast for 4 weeks. When she does it she does it good!!!

Football...

Well it's here! Football has started. We had our first scrimage last Saturday against Alta. We won 7 to 0, but we still have some work to do. I am looking forward to the year. I guess I am one of those crazy football moms that loves the football season. Go Riverton!!!

My Cute Mama!!

We had a little get together for my mom's birthday at my parent's house in Ely. It was great to get everyone together and for my mom to get to see everybody. I sure love her!

July 24th!!!

We went camping (imagine that) for the 24th of July. We went to our Camperworld campsite at Echo Lake. We have alot of fun up there. It's not to far away and we have some great friends that go with us. Mike and Todd decided they were a little to hot so they got into the river which was very cold! Good times!!

Dance Recital

Shalee had her last dance recital of the year this summer. They all performed at Riverton High School. She had alot of fun this year in dance.

Temple!

We went as a family and walked through the Oquirrah Mountain Temple. It was so beautiful! The kids really enjoyed seeing the temple and the temple grounds.

Shalee's Birthday...

Well I am trying to catch up on my blogging, it's definately been a while. I will start with Shalee's birthday. We always seem to celebrate her birthday in Bear Lake. We go there every year for the 4th of July and we camp and have a little party for her while we are there.

Camping!

We went back home to Nevada for Memorial weekend and went camping. We went with about 8 other families. The kids got to ride four wheelers and Jace was able to finally ride his motorcycle. Mike did some shooting practice also. We all had a great time!!

Shiner

Well, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. Jace got hit today in the eye with a baseball and I think he is going to have a pretty good shiner!!

Let's Play Ball!!

Jace decided to try baseball this year. Just like basketball he has never played before. He is doing pretty good. He gets a little frustrated since he is new at the sport but he is catching on and having fun. He has the same coach again that he had for football and basketball and some of the same kids so he is making some great friends and that's really what it is about.

Soccer!

Here is a couple of pictures of Shalee playing soccer. This is her 2nd year playing. She has alot of fun and enjoys being with all of the kids. At the end of every game all of the parents make a long spirit tunnel for the team to run through. I think this is their favorite part.

Dance Pictures!

Shalee had her dance pictures tonight at the photography studio. It was quite the ordeal to get the hair and make-up and costumes done just right so the girls would all match. Of course I had to work so my wonderful neighbor Dana picked up her daughter Baylee and Shalee and took them both to her niece and had her do the hair and make-up and she did a great job. I think the pictures will turn out very cute. I am looking forward to seeing them.
